Psychotherapist ` Speaker ~ Trainer

“Let go of who you think you’re supposed to be; embrace who you are.” - Brene Brown

Welcome! I’m Tiffany and I am a fully licensed LCMSW in the state of Michigan, a speaker, trainer and wife and mom of two amazing kids. I started in the field of social work because I wanted to create an environment where people could be vulnerable and feel safe without judgment.

For the past two decades, I have worked on improving the health and well-being of those who so often sacrifice their self-care as a result of work demands and get caught up with everyone else’s expectations that they end up burning out at alarming rates. I specialize in supporting those who are struggling to show up as the best version of themselves.

I have a variety of experiences in private practice, wilderness therapy, hospitals, primary care and specialty medical clinics as well as in the school setting. My career and training has given me extensive experience working with a variety of anxiety disorders including selective mutism, depression, professional burn out and trauma. As a former Division 1 soccer player I have a passion for working with athletes knowing that the mental preparation is the first step in achieving peak performance. Sports performance isn’t just about the physical abilities it is seeing each athlete and coach as a whole person that exists both on and off the field of play.

Because every person is unique, I use various therapeutic interventions to individualize each patient’s therapeutic experience. I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy and exposure therapy but know that sometimes finding your personal way through life may be outside of those defined treatment practices.

My goal is to provide an environment where there is no stigma, no box to be put in and no limit to someone’s ability to be open and honest with his or hers feelings. Life is hard, whether you’re an adult with work issues, life or family stress or a child who is having a difficult time expressing feelings in a way that others can understand. Therapy should be a safe place where you can disclose your stress, learn skills to manage difficult situations, or just talk through something with an objective voice.

When I’m not at work, I focus on my two amazing children and husband. We try to spend our free time outdoors, after years of traveling around the world and within the states I have learned the value of being connected through experiences.
