Specializing in working with kids and teens struggling with anxiety, depression, bullying, behavioral management and adjustment

I hold my Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Oakland University and my Masters Degree in Social Work from Madonna University. Since obtaining my degrees, I have worked in a variety of different positions including hospital emergency rooms and inpatient psychiatric units. Most recently, just before beginning my therapy career, I worked as a school social worker with elementary aged children. This has given me the knowledge and expertise to better understand and help manage academic related stressors, school based anxiety and depression, behavioral issues and advocating on behalf of the child in need.

While, my experience has given me the pleasure of working with people of all ages, my true joy and passion is working with children and young adults.

I became a therapist out of my love for helping people. Through my vast experiences, I have gained varrying perspectives which have allowed me to understand people in a different way. My goal is to help you attain the skills to be who you want to be and have a place to let your feelings be heard and understood. I use a combination of interventions including but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy.

When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my two daughters and our cat. I love to get outside when the weather is warm, swimming or taking walks are two things I really enjoy. I also relax by reading, watching movies, and cooking or baking.

I look forward to meeting you!
